A consumer mailing list is generally a list of existing consumers who are already recognised as service users, or have previously purchased. These lists are managed and maintained by the organisation which the consumers belong to, if the organisation has included third party opt-ins within their mailing list subscription this data is sold onto partner companies which have complimentary services or products to offer.
