Mailing list software
Mailing list software can come in two forms, but serve the same purpose. Cheaper versions are used on a standard personal computer (PC) and can ensure individual emails are sent out to all recipients instead of sending email out to a large list at once. The benefits of this allow individual statistics to be provided from each recipient, if this method is not used it can be very hard to distinguish statistics for each contact contained on the mailing list. This is a feature of more expensive mailing list software, but with cheaper versions it is only used when the user imitates the program and opens it to carry out email marketing activities.
More expensive mailing list software has the same above features, but is normally installed and run on a server to constantly process un-subscription requests and to automatically send out emails at a predefined time.
